A Bouton child has died after being struck in a high school parking lot. The Iowa State Patrol responded to the Woodward Granger High School in Woodward at approximately 3:42 p.m. Monday. They report a 2019 GMC Denali was driving northbound through the lot when a seven-year-old traveled out in front of the vehicle. The victim was hit by the front passenger side of the SUV before falling underneath. The driver was unable to stop before running over the child. The name of the 47-year-old driver from Perry or of the child have not yet been released. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
