No injuries and only functional damages were reported in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene in the 1200 block of Heires Avenue at approximately 12:34 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that 35-year-old Debra Severns of Carroll was stopped facing westbound on U.S. Highway 30 in a 2008 Buick Enclave, waiting for traffic to clear to turn south. Forty-nine-year-old Preston Gingerich of Wellman was also traveling westbound in a 1997 Ford F150 and struck the rear of the Enclave. Gingerich was cited for following another vehicle too closely.
