The annual Glidden Community Christmas Dinner is still on the schedule for this year, but organizers have had to make some adjustments to account for current COVID-19 mitigation protocols. The Lincoln Club in Glidden is preparing the meal, but unfortunately, residents will be unable to enjoy their holiday food with family, friends and neighbors. To avoid surpassing the limitation on indoor gatherings of more than 15 people, the meal of turkey, ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, salad and a roll will be offered in take-out format only. The deadline to reserve a meal is Friday, Dec. 18 and can be completed by contacting Glidden City Hall at 712-659-3010. Funding for the Christmas Dinner is provided by the Glidden Community Auction.
