Regional two-week COVID-19 positivity rates continued an overall downward trend over the weekend, but three counties reported one additional coronavirus-related death in each. Carroll County’s death toll is now at 26 with a 16.9 percent rate, 2,078 positive and 1,485 recovered. Audubon County is reporting a total of three deaths with the second-lowest rate in the state at 8.8 percent. They have 313 positives and 229 recovered. Sac County has recorded their ninth death and have the highest positivity rates in the region, ninth in the state at 23 percent with 924 positives and 553 recovered. For the remainder of the area, as of 6 a.m. Monday morning: Calhoun County is at 16 percent with 1,104 positives, 691 recovered and seven deaths; Crawford is 16th in the state at 20.7 percent with 1,852 positives, 1,511 recovered and 16 deaths; Greene County has a 17.3 percent rate with 808 positives, 519 recovered and two deaths; and Guthrie County has a 17.3 percent rate with 808 positives, 519 recovered and 15 deaths. There are currently five area long-term care facilities reporting outbreaks. St. Anthony Regional Hospital’s nursing facility is reporting 17 of 32 total cases are recovered. Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison has 24 of 50 recovered while Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation of Jefferson has zero of 21 recovered. Two nursing facilities in Sac County are reporting, Twilight Acres of Wall Lake has one of 31 cases recovered and Black Hawk Life Care Center of Lake View has zero of 29 recovered.
