After Approval Of Rental Housing Code Ordinance, City Of Carroll Begins Search For Compliance Officer

Following the City of Carroll’s adoption of a new Rental Housing Code Ordinance at their last meeting in November, the council then approved a wage resolution for a new position. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says the duties of the city employee will be divided roughly into thirds for oversight of rental housing inspections, code enforcement and the city’s sidewalk inspection program. The hunt for the candidate to fill this position is now on.

The timeline has interviews likely beginning in early January. Pogge-Weaver says depending on the individual they eventually hire, they anticipate them starting in their new role in February or March. Applications are available online.

Links to the job description and application can also be found below. The council set the wages for this position on an hourly basis between $21.36 to $28.10 per hour.
