East Sac couldn’t overcome an 8-1 run to start the 4th quarter as the Raiders fall to 1-2 on the season. The game had 10 lead changes and the Raiders led by 3 late in the 3rd but hit a spell early in the 4th where they missed a couple shots and a few free throws and the Falcons stretched the lead to double digits. OA-BCIG answered the East Sac 27-24 lead with a 6-0 run and led 32-29 after the 3rd quarter.
Camden Schroeder came out aggressive for the Raiders scoring 11 1st half points helping them hang tight and lead late into the 1st quarter. OA-BCIG scored late to go up 9-8 after the 1st but East Sac answered to start the 2nd with a bucket and lead 11-9. They extended it to 13-9 but the Falcons answered with a 5-0 run to lead 14-13. The next three baskets changed the lead before OA-BCIG got a pair of free throws from Cooper DeJean who went 10-10 from the line for the game. His two free throws put them ahead 18-17 and they led 22-20 at half.
OA-BCIG grabbed a 5 point lead early in the 3rd before East Sac rallied back and went up 25-24 and then 27-24 before the late 3rd quarter by the Falcons made it 30-27. They would never trail again as they started the 4th quarter with an 8-1 run. East Sac pulled within 7 but never got closer.
Camden Schroeder finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and did a nice job helping the Raiders handle the press. Tyler Schmitt added 10 points and 10 rebounds and Tyler Wright pulled down 7 rebounds.
The Raiders look to bounce back as they host Newell Fonda on Friday.
