Regional Two-Week COVID Positivity Rates Headed In The Right Direction

Three of the seven counties in the Carroll Broadcasting coverage area are now reporting two-week positivity rates below 15 percent. Audubon County remains ranked third lowest in the state at 10.1 percent. They have seen a rise in positive cases of four since Friday morning, now at 328 with 255 recovered and six deaths. Calhoun County is also reporting in the 10 percent range at 10.7 percent. They have seen an increase of four positive cases over the weekend, now at 1,132 with 885 recovered and eight deaths. Greene is reporting an 11 percent positivity rate, but one more coronavirus-related death, bringing their total to six. They have seen an increase of eight positive cases, now at 585 with 418 recovered. Guthrie County is at 15.2 percent, up three cases to 843 with 618 recovered and 22 deaths. Carroll County is at 16.8 percent and up 28 since Friday with 2,162 positive cases, 1,719 recovered and 22 deaths. Sac County is at 17.4 percent and up nine with 971positives, 665 recovered and nine deaths. Crawford County is reporting the highest positivity rate in the region, ranked 12th in the state at 21 percent. They rose by 20 cases in the past two days to 1,926 with 1,607 recovered and 16 deaths. Six area long-term care facilities have reported outbreaks as of Monday morning. These include: the St. Anthony Regional Hospital nursing facility with 20 of 38 cases recovered; Eventide Lutheran Home of Denison with 29 of 53 cases recovered; the Manilla Manor has zero of four cases recovered; Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Jefferson has five of 23 cases recovered; Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View has seven of 30 cases recovered and Twilight Acres in Wall Lake has three of 31.
