The family of a fourth generation, Carroll-based company has pledged a sizeable gift to the St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center. Tim and Joann Sapp, owners of Ray’s Refuse, and their five grandchildren recently presented their support of $20,000. “Our roots in the Carroll community are deep,” says Tim. “We were born and raised here, as well as our children Amy, Scott, Brad and Shane. We feel that it is very important that our community can seek care close to home. Cancer is hard enough for an individual and their family to endure. When they are forced to travel to seek care, it makes it that much harder for everyone, as well as their entire family and support system.” Tim adds they are very grateful that family and friends as well as the residents of Carroll and surrounding communities will be in the great hands of St. Anthony staff while remaining close to home when facing that life-changing diagnosis.
