Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries In Grand Junction Accident

A Grand Junction man was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in an accident Tuesday. The Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene on 16th Street near Sandoe Street in north Grand Junction at approximately 8:10 p.m. Seventy-two-year-old Robert Aaron Kinnick of Grand Junction was northbound on 16th Street in a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup. Forty-six-year-old Travis Christopher Fincel was walking along 16th at that time and was struck by the Kinnick truck. The accident remains under investigation. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
