A Carroll man was taken into custody Tuesday on an outstanding Carroll County arrest warrant for an alleged motor vehicle burglary. According to an investigation by the Carroll Police Department, 19-year-old Dalton Lee Andrew Maples is accused of stealing items from a pickup truck parked in the 100 block of North Clark Street on the evening of Nov. 5. Authorities say a storage box in the bed of the vehicle was also damaged during the incident. Maples has been charged with third-degree burglary, motor vehicle, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance Wednesday after appearing before a magistrate. Maples’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 31.
