A Coon Rapids man believes he fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to leave the roadway. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Highways 141 and 4 at approximately 6:35 a.m. Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, they learned that 18-year-old Blaine Everett Dudley was eastbound in a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse and had lost control on a southbound curve, left the highway and came to rest in the ditch on the southwest side of the road. Dudley was transported by Panora Emergency Medical Services to the Greene County Medical Center with possible injuries. There was an estimated $4,500 in damage to the Eclipse.
