No Injuries But $6,000 In Damages Reported In Christmas Day Collision

There was an estimated total of $6,000 in damage reported in a two-vehicle accident Christmas Day in Jefferson. The Jefferson Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Monroe and West Streets at approximately 12:55 p.m. Markus Rosenow of Bagley was southbound on West Street in a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and failed to yield at the intersection. He collided with an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet K1500 pickup, driven by Carter Semke of Des Moines. Each vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage. No injuries were reported but Rosenow was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right and Semke for driving while suspended.
