A Carroll woman charged with assault following a shooting incident on Oct. 14 at the Fairview Village Apartments in Carroll was sentenced to jail time Monday. According to Carroll County District Court records, 31-year-old Triesha Monique Jones was arrested after striking 28-year-old Glenninsha Janancy Myers while law enforcement was processing the scene of the shooting. The pair exchanged several blows before they were placed into handcuffs. Jones was sentenced Monday to 30 days in the Carroll County jail with all but two days suspended. Myers was also charged with simple misdemeanor assault following the incident and is scheduled for a pretrial conference with prosecutors on Jan. 14. Officers were originally dispatched to the scene in the 500 block of E. 18th Street at 11:57 p.m. in response to a reported shooting. The suspected shooter, 31-year-old Cliff Urban of Hammond, Ind. was taken into custody and has been extradited back to Indiana on an outstanding warrant. Thirty-year-old Kamille Elise Garnett also faces charges in Carroll County District Court in connection to the incident.
