IDPH Opens Registration For Upcoming Opioid Misuse Identification Training Seminars

Prescription painkiller abuse continues to be an issue in communities throughout the state and it can often go on undetected by friends, families and even doctors for months. In an effort to help medical professionals identify developing problems in their patients or communities, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) is now accepting registrations for upcoming “Identifying Opioid Misuse” training seminars. There are four dates for those interested to attend: Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 25 and April 22. Each session will be held virtually from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. with an hour break for lunch over the noon hour. Only one session is necessary as they are identical, and once finished, participants will be better equipped to identify and address substance abuse and understand the individual and community impacts of opioid misuse. For more information on the training seminars or to register, follow the link included below.
