The Carroll Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced the postponement of their annual banquet, originally scheduled for Feb. 2, 2021. The difficult decision was made due to the uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and a desire to do their best in ensuring the safety of others. The board, however, is hoping that the 78th annual celebration will be able to be held sometime in the spring, providing them the important opportunity to acknowledge and honor the individuals and businesses that make a difference in the Carroll community. More details will be provided as plans come to fruition, but in the meantime, the Chamber is still accepting nominations for their community service awards. These include: Citizen of the Year; Humanitarian of the Year; as well as the Public Service and Good Neighbor awards. They are also seeking nominations for the Heritage and New Business of the Year awards.
