Carroll Woman Charged With Assault After Allegedly Threatening To Shoot Another Woman

A Carroll Woman was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after allegedly threatening to shoot and kill another woman. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of East 10th Street at approximately 3:25 a.m. in response to a report from the victim. Once law enforcement arrived at the scene, the victim told authorities 43-year-old Jhanae Mattie Monique Buob had been harassing and arguing with her most of the day prior to the call. She contacted police after Buob allegedly threatened to retrieve her gun and shoot her. A witness corroborated the victim’s story. A black pistol-type BB gun was also recovered from the scene. Buob was taken into custody and transported to the Carroll County jail where she was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
