Two Local Food Pantries Benefit From West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation Donations

Two local food pantries and the people they serve are reaping the benefits of a timely donation. The West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation (WCIHF) has announced two $1,500 donations have been recently made, one to the IKM-Manning Wolf Pack Pantry and another to the Manning Food Pantry. “We recognize that there is a significant need for food in our area and believe this is an excellent way for the foundation to fulfill our mission and help those in need during the holidays and beyond,” says WCIHF President, Gaylin Ranniger. The donations were made possible through the foundation’s annual Dream Lights campaign, which allows community members to sponsor a lighted Christmas tree on Main Street in Manning through the holiday season. The IKM-Manning Wolf Pack Pantry offers food items to families and employees in the IKM-Manning School District. They are open on the second Friday of each month in the middle school library. Appointments can also be made by calling the number provided below. The Manning Food Pantry, at 318 Main Street, also serves families in the IKM-Manning School District and stocks the Manning Cares food box located in the alley near the pantry. Eligibility can be determined by calling New Opportunities, the number for which is also included here.
