A slow start, foul trouble and an illness during a Rocket rally led to a loss on Monday to open the 2^nd half of the season for Ar-We-Va. The Rockets cut the deficit to 4 in the 2^nd quarter but lost one of their top players in Bridget Cameron until late in the 3^rd quarter and had to battle through some early foul trouble. They trailed by 9 at half and weren’t able to recover.

Sara Schurke played well defensively and finished the game with a team high 11 rebounds. Timberlen Koch came off the bench to add 7 points while Jadeyn Smith led the team with 17 points to go with 8 rebounds.

The loss dropped the Rockets to 1-8 on the season and was their 6^th straight loss as they come home on Tuesday to host Woodbine.
