Audubon At Ar-We-Va
Audubon 53
Ar-We-Va 30
Audubon took charge in the 2nd quarter, opening up a close game on their way to their 4th win of the season and 2nd win this week. Ar-We-Va hung tough in the 1st quarter with 3’s from Hannah Kraus, Jadeyn Smith and Jamie Hausman. They were down late in the 1st quarter 13-10 but Audubon pushed it to 16-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. Ar-We-Va would not score again until Hannah Kraus banked in a shot with 3:25 left in the 3rd quarter. The Wheelers used a 24-0 run from late in the 1st quarter until the Kraus bucket and led 37-12.
Katelyn Nielsen was big early for the Wheelers with 7 of her 9 points in the 1st half. She carried the load until Aleah Hermansen and Jaci Christensen heated up. The Wheelers defense was stifling in the 2nd quarter and created a number of turnovers keeping the Rockets from getting good looks.
