First Virtual Carroll Chamber Of Commerce Legislative Forum Is This Saturday

The 2021 Iowa legislative session convened Monday morning and the Carroll Chamber of Commerce is announcing they will be bringing back the local Legislative Forums one time each month from January to April. Each begins at 10 a.m. with the first one this weekend, on Saturday, Jan. 16. These, however, will be closed to in-person attendance by the general public and will be broadcast digitally from the Carroll City Council Chambers and livestreamed via the city’s YouTube channel, a link to which is included below. This will also be aired on CAAT6, Carroll’s local access cable channel–on Western Iowa Networks channel 46 in Carroll, Westside, Breda and Lidderdale and on Mediacom channel 6 in Carroll and Glidden. District 6 Senator, Craig Williams, and District 12 House Representative, Brian Best, will be updating constituents on the activities, bills and items of import and will then answer questions. Each one-hour forum starts with statements from legislators, followed by questions developed by the Chamber Legislative Committee before the floor is opened to questions from the public. These can be submitted in advance to chamber@carrolliowa.com and the Chamber is asking that those be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14. The remainder of the forums are scheduled for February 6, March 6 and April 10.
