Staff from the South Central Calhoun (SCC) Community School District are requesting input from students and families to gauge their interest in expanded meal services during scheduled no-school days. The proposed program would provide one breakfast and one lunch for each day students would not be in the classroom, such as in-services and holiday breaks. Meals would be offered at no cost to students/families, and the district is considering using shelf-stable meals for longer breaks. The district has released a brief, two-question survey where parents or guardians can indicate their interest in the program and list the number of school-aged children in the household. Responses to the questionnaire will be kept confidential and used to assist staff in planning. A link to the survey can be found included below.
