Friday’s blizzard resulted in officers with the Carroll Police Department assisting four motorists between 6:42 a.m. and 10:42 p.m. Over the course of the weekend, they also reported to a disturbance call early Sunday morning, at approximately 12:28 a.m., in the 1200 block of Plaza Drive. This resulted in an altercation with law enforcement and the arrest of a Newton woman, 25-year-old Alicia E. Ngubane, for trespassing, interference with official acts and two counts of assault on a police officer. Ngubane also allegedly damaged the police car door by kicking it from the inside. Charges are pending estimates on the amount of damage done to the vehicle.
