A Jefferson woman was jailed after a single-vehicle accident in the early morning hours Saturday. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest is the result of an investigation into a 2007 Cadillac Escalade that was found in the ditch on 235th Street, to the west of S Avenue, east of Jefferson at approximately 2:10 a.m. The driver, 29-year-old Kim Mentolaroc, missed a curve and went into the ditch and was later arrested for operating while under the influence, first offense, and possession or concealing of a dangerous weapon while intoxicated. There were no injuries and no damages reported. Mentolaroc was later released on her own recognizance.
