Audubon Girls Basketball Cruises At Tri Center on Tuesday

Audubon At Tri Center

Audubon 58

Tri Center 41

Audubon won for the 7th time in their last 10 games as they improved to 9-7 overall and 7-5 in the Western Iowa Conference. The Wheelers started slowly and trailed after the 1st quarter.  They took the lead for good in the 2nd quarter thanks to a 9-0 run by Aleah Hermansen. Audubon used their pressure defense to speed up the tempo and were able to get the Trojans playing at a faster pace than they wanted. They scored 26 points in the 2nd quarter and led by 12 at half. Both teams struggled coming out of the locker room for the 2nd half but the Wheelers were steady enough in the 4th quarter to pick up the win.

Aleah Hermansen and Jaci Christensen each finished with 17 points, Christensen added 12 rebounds while Hermansen had a team high 6 steals. Katelyn Nielsen added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Johanna Sauers had 8 rebounds.

The Wheelers are back in action Friday At LoMa.
