A local food processor has received a prestigious designation. Quality Food Processors (QFP) of Denison has announced they were recently recognized as Sigma’s 2020 Value Partner of the Year. This honor is presented annually to only one supplier from this global refrigerated food company. QFP is a Sigma supplier for their Bar-S Foods brand. “This is a huge accomplishment and honor for our company,” says QFP General Manager, Eric Kohler. “I cannot tell you how proud I am of this team. We pride ourselves on making bacon products of the highest standard, and winning this award is a testament to those efforts.” In light of this accomplishment, all 250 QFP employees signed a banner commemorating the award that will be on display at their Denison facility. Denison Mayor, Pam Soseman, City Council member, John Granzen and Evan Blakley, executive director of the Chamber and Development Council, were also present for the banner signing. Kohler commends the entire team for their efforts during these challenging times, adding that this recognition is a boost for employees at QFP. “While this year has been difficult for everyone, moments like these have a way of lifting us up, showing us that we are heading in the right direction. The key to our success is the dedicated work each and every employee puts forth—day in and day out.”
