The annual Glidden FFA Fun Days are still more than six months from now, and organizers are already beginning preparations for the three-day celebration. City leaders discussed the issue at Monday’s regularly scheduled meeting. Administrator, Brooke Peterson, say they approved Thursday, Aug. 5 through Saturday, Aug. 7 as the dates for the 2021 event.
Glidden Fun Days is the highlight of the summer for many in the community as kids close out their summer break with the festival before heading back to the classroom and adults catch up with friends and neighbors. Last year’s event was condensed into a single day due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Peterson does not expect that to be the case this time around.
Peterson says many of their most popular events should be making a return this year.
Peterson encourages people interested in attending to mark Aug. 5, 6 and 7 now to save the date. Many of the specifics are yet to be determined, and more concrete schedules are expected to be released during the summer.
