East Sac won their 9th straight and stayed squarely in the hunt for the Twin Lakes Conference championship, improving to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The Raiders started quickly with Camden Schroeder getting the ball out in transition and Tyler Schmitt controlling the game near the rim. The defense was very active, tipping a number of passes which led to them getting up 21-5 by the end of the 1st quarter. The defensive pressure was effective all night, keeping the Raiders energy level high.  The Raiders controlled the boards as well with 10 offensive rebounds and 36 rebounds for the game.

Camden Schroeder paced the Raiders with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Tyler Schmitt was outstanding inside again with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Gavin Vondrak gave the Raiders a third player in double figures with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

East Sac heads to Sioux Central on Friday.

Paton Churdan led after the 1st quarter and only trailed by 7 heading into the 4th quarter before things slipped away as they fall to 3-12 on the season. The Rockets offense came up clicking on Thursday as they scored 24 points in the 1st quarter and were up by 7. They scored in double figures in the 2nd and 3rd quarters by the Spartans got rolling in the 2nd quarter and scored 23 points to take a 40-35 lead at the break. Paton Churdan played well in the 3rd but a 9 point 4th quarter was too much for them to overcome.

Joe Carey had a team high 18 points to lead 4 guys in double figures. Connor Brus added 14 points, Bradyn Smith had 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Shaydon Thurman added 12 points.

The Rockets will look to rebound on Friday when they host Woodbine.
