Storm Lake Man Arrested On Drug Charges During Traffic Stop For A Minor Violation

A Storm Lake man is being held on a $56,000 bond on drug-related charges following a traffic stop for a minor violation. The Storm Lake Police Department reports they pulled over a vehicle at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of W. 9th Street. A K-9 was deployed and indicated a positive response for narcotics. The vehicle was impounded and a search warrant obtained, at which time a small amount of crystal methamphetamine was located. Twenty-nine-year-old Robert Terry was arrested without incident and transported to the Buena Vista County jail. Following his arrest, police issued further charges regarding an ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales from incidents occurring from October through December of 2020 in Storm Lake. Terry has been charged with: one count of ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony; three counts of a controlled substance violation, delivery of methamphetamine, class C felonies; and one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor. The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
