The second Carroll Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forum is scheduled for this coming Saturday, Feb. 6. Sixth District Iowa Senator, Craig Williams, and District 12 Iowa House Representative, Brian Best, will be on hand to give an overview of priority legislation covered in the past four weeks of the general assembly and answer questions developed by the Chamber Legislative Committee as well as those submitted by residents. The one-hour event will begin at 10 a.m., but is closed to in-person attendance by the public. It will instead be broadcast on local access CAAT6 and will be livestreamed on YouTube. Details on how to view through these methods can be found below. Because of the virtual presentation, the Chamber is requesting questions from constituents be emailed prior to the forum. That email address is also included online. Each forum will begin with opening statements from legislators and move to the committee questions before the floor is opened for general discussion. The forum will be rebroadcast on local access cable throughout the following week.
