Sac County Naturalist, Kristen Bieret, has announced a change of dates for their Valentine’s Day Candle Lit Night Hike. With temperatures forecast to be from five below to 15 below, they made arrangements to move the event to the evening of Sunday, Feb. 21. The estimated 500 battery-operated tea lights will glow along the hiking route and everyone is invited to enjoy them between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Reservations for fire pits can also be made by contacting Sac County Conservation. The cost is $20 and includes the ingredients for s’mores. Contact details for more information or to reserve a fire pit can be found below.
