The Knights were holding on in the first quarter trailing only three points to the Lions at 18-15. Des Moines Christian would start to pull way ahead in the second quarter being up by 11 at halftime with a score of 33-22.

Knights Head Coach Sean Minnehan says the biggest difference in this game late was the free throw game. The Lions went 21 of 28 from the charity stripe while the Knights went eight of 11. Minnehan was pleased with how physical his players were in this game, but they had troubles getting baskets around the rim.
Individually for the Knights, Mitchell Badding would be the workhorse on offense, scoring a team high 20 points. John Mayhall and Noah Bauer were effective underneath the hoop, rebounding the ball six times each. The Kuemper Knights fall to 7-13 on the season as the Des Moines Christian Lions improve to 17-2.

CAM-Anita would be able to extend their one point halftime lead and make it a four point lead at 36-32 after the third.
