No injuries and only minimal damage were reported in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Guthrie Center. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at North and 6th Streets at approximately 5:16 p.m. Forty-five-year-old Andrew Thomas Baker of Guthrie Center was southbound on 6th in a 2005 Cadillac Deville. At that same time, 29-year-old Tyler Cody Mathewson, also of Guthrie Center, was eastbound on North Street in a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Authorities report that Baker failed to yield at the intersection and struck the rear left side of the pickup. There was an estimated $1,500 in damage reported to each vehicle.
