There is a change in date and location for the next Carroll County Board of Supervisor meeting. Supervisors will convene at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16 and those attending in person will be at the Swan Lake Conservation Center. Items on the agenda include future planning for the courthouse offices, that will likely include discussion of how to utilize space that will be vacated in the current jail and sheriff’s office when the new jail is completed. They will also enter into a work session as they take steps to finalize the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 budget, which must be filed with the Iowa Department of Management by March 31. The board will also discuss setting the public hearing for the proposed FY22 property tax levy and will consider an appointment to the Veteran Affairs Commission as well as a rural broadband letter of support. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 mitigation recommendations of social distancing, the meeting will be livestreamed on the county’s YouTube channel, a link to which is included below. During the meeting, to ask questions, those viewing on YouTube must create an account and subscribe to the county channel.
