John Mayhall and Dawson Edwards helped a spurt at the end of the 1st quarter that proved to be huge as the game went on as Kuemper holds off Manson NW Webster to advance to Thursday game against 2nd ranked OA-BCIG. Mayhall and Edwards each scored 5 points during a 12-4 run by Kuemper to open up a 10-8 lead late in the 1st quarter. The Knights never trailed, but after leading by 12 at half saw the Cougars go on a tear in the 3rd. The Kuemper lead was cut to 1 late in the 3rd but they rebounded and stretched it to 4 heading into the 4th quarter. Mitchell Badding was big offensively in the 1st half and Mayhall and Dawson Gifford came alive in the 2nd half. The Knights pulled away again in the 4th to win by double digits.

John Mayhall led the way with 23 points while Dawson Gifford finished with 13 points and Mitchell Badding added 10 points and 5 assists. Michael Pottebaum nearly scored in double figures with 9 points, Chris Mohr added 6 rebounds off the bench.
The Knights improve to 9-13 and will travel to OA-BCIG on Thursday on 1380 AM/95.1 FM KCIM. The Falcons had a bye in the opening round.

Glidden Ralston had to travel to the 5th ranked team in Class 1A and saw their season come to an end. The Wildcats trailed by 14 after the 1st quarter and were down by 29 at half. They had two players score in double figures and nearly had a third. Brigham Daniel had a team high 13 points, Karter Kennebeck added 10 points and John Whitver finished with 9 points.
The Wildcats end the season at 4-17.
