In the best of times, tax filing for a business can be complicated and getting the right information from the most informed sources is key to ensuring it is done correctly. Region XII Council of Governments has partnered with America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to host a webinar for small businesses seeking to understand Iowa sales tax. Iowa Department of Revenue Tax Counselor, Lisa Casper, will be explaining when Iowa tax is required, local option sales tax requirements and just who is considered a marketplace facilitator as well as their tax obligations in the Wednesday, Feb. 24 virtual meeting that will get underway at 7:30 a.m. Those interested in attending are asked to register, which can be done by following the link included below.
