Arcadia Man Arrested Tuesday On Felony Child Endangerment Charge

An Arcadia man was taken into custody this week by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on a felony child endangerment charge. According to Carroll County District Court records, 34-year-old Michael Curtis Andersen was arrested Tuesday evening following an investigation into the reported assault. Authorities were dispatched to the home in Arcadia at approximately 9:12 p.m. and found Andersen to be intoxicated and uncooperative upon their arrival. A police affidavit claims Andersen slapped one juvenile with an open hand and punched and headbutted another during the incident. Law enforcement says marks found on the juveniles corroborated their story. Andersen was transported to the Carroll County jail and charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury, a class D felony. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 18 for a preliminary hearing.
