Formal Charges Filed Tuesday Against Man Accused Of Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver

Formal charges were filed this week against a Carroll man arrested after narcotics were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Carroll. Court records show 32-year-old Nicholas Russell Pickering, who has also reported a Lake City address, was indicted Tuesday on one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class C felony. Pickering was arrested on Feb. 17 for a Nov. 24 traffic stop. The Carroll Police Department’s K9 Eudoris alerted to the presence of narcotics, and authorities located multiple baggies containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Pickering’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 8. A class C felony in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
