Carroll Vs Sergeant Bluff Luton At Denison- Class 3A Sub-State 1
Sergeant Bluff Luton 36
Carroll 29
It was a defensive battle with both teams struggling to get good shots and unable to consistently hit them when they found a few open looks. The Warriors made one three point shot all game and it was a big one from Majok Majouk that put them ahead 28-25. It came right after the Tigers got a bucket from Kaleb Booth to tie the game at 25. The Warriors would lead 30-27 after a spinning shot in the lane by Tory Feldman but Majouk who was a 50% free throw shooter entering the game hit 4-6 down the stretch and Jake Layman hit a pair. Majouk made a steal in the closing seconds and scored the final of his 15 points, which all came in the 2nd half to seal the deal.
