An arrest on operating while intoxicated (OWI) charges resulted after a driver struck a cart corral. The Carroll Police Department was notified that a 2011 Ford Edge had struck the cart corral in the Hy-Vee parking lot at approximately 11:14 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle was pulled over at 5th and Main Streets and the driver, 59-year-old Brian James Origer of Carroll, was arrested and charged with second-offense OWI. Origer’s Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) was recorded at nearly 3.25 times the legal limit at .257.
