At least one officer was injured as Carroll authorities attempted to take a wanted Illinois fugitive into custody this (Friday) afternoon. According to Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, the officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries after the suspect stuck a patrol car and the officer as law enforcement was attempting to take him into custody. The subject is a 5’ 11” black male in his mid-20s and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He was last seen on foot wearing a black sweatshirt. Anybody with information about the individual’s location is asked to contact the Carroll County Communication Center at 792-3536.
