A Carroll man arrested last week for his involvement in a bank robbery in Scranton now also faces felony drug charges in Carroll County District Court. According to court records, 26-year-old Tyler Scott Mattingly, who has also reported residence in Fort Dodge, was taken into custody on March 3 on an outstanding arrest warrant for controlled substance violations, a class C felony, and driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. Those charges stem from an investigation into a serious car accident near Arcadia on Jan. 2. Authorities allege a container with nearly 41 grams of methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle Mattingly was driving at the time of the crash. Several small plastic jewelry bags were also found inside the car. As of Monday, Mattingly remains in custody at the Carroll County jail on a $25,000 bond. He also faces charges in Greene County District Court for allegedly aiding and abetting 27-year-old Zachary Michael Anderson Wailes of Fort Dodge during a Feb. 25 bank robbery at People’s Bank in Scranton. His bond is set at $75,000 on charges of first-degree robbery, a class B felony, and first-degree theft, a class C felony.
