A 15-year-old male has been charged after leading local law enforcement on a high-speed chase. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports the incident began at approximately 6 p.m. on the northeast side of Carroll Monday when a deputy spotted a vehicle north bound on Noble Avenue driving erratically. The deputy, who was southbound at the time, turned around and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver fled, turning east onto 190th Street, which is a gravel road, and ignored emergency lights and sirens. The chase reached speeds between 70 and 80 miles an hour on the gravel before the pursuit ended while the vehicle was northbound on Phoenix Avenue, between 190th Street and U.S. Highway 30. There were six juveniles total in the vehicle and illegal substances were located. No injuries were reported. The 15-year-old male has been charged with eluding law enforcement.
