Carroll County Supervisors Will Host Final FY22 Budget Hearing At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will hold their final public hearing on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 budget at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. The board is moving forward with a total property tax levy of $4.33 per $1,000 of taxable valuation for the urban rate and $7.63 for the rural rate. The hearing opens at 9:30 a.m. Monday, and the supervisors are expected to vote on approving the proposed budget once it has closed. A discussion on the county’s HIPAA policies also return to the agenda. Other items of business include an update from County Engineer, Zac Andersen on secondary roads, discussions on the Rolling Hills Mental Health Region Community Services, workers compensation providers and township trustee and clerk compensation and an assurance of nondiscrimination for Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach. The board will close the meeting with manure management annual updates and reports from committees. The Monday, March 15 meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the courthouse meeting room and will be livestreamed using the county’s YouTube channel.
