The Carroll Parks and Recreation Department recently opened bids for replacement of the sidewalk and extension of the patio at Southside Park. Director, Jack Wardell explains the work to be done.
The size of the sidewalks varies throughout the park.
This shelter house, Wardell says, sees slightly more use than the one at Graham Park, so this investment will benefit many users. Three bids were received, ranging from $15,777 to $18,850 compared to a prepared estimate of $32,000. Funds for this project will come from Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) The bid was awarded to the lowest submitted by Concrete Creators of Carroll.
