The application deadline for the 2021 Northwest Iowa League of Cities annual scholarship is Thursday, April 1. Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors from member communities interested in pursuing a post-secondary education or training in a field that will likely result in employment by a city government such as public administration, wastewater management, law enforcement, civil engineering and other similar fields. Application materials are available at member communities’ city halls or by contacting Treasurer, Scott Peterson, using the email address included below. The Northwest Iowa League of Cities is comprised of more than 70 towns in the 27-county region. The organization was created by community leaders to improve operation of public services, provide on-going education for members and an opportunity for networking.
