Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered all state flags in Iowa lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims killed during shootings Tuesday in the Atlanta, Ga. metro. The order was issued Thursday afternoon in conjunction with President Biden’s proclamation to lower all U.S. flags and will remain in effect through sunset on Monday, March 22. Flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building, on flag displays in the Capitol Complex and at all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state. Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.
