Former Denison Dealership Owner Scheduled For Trial In April On Trespassing Charges

The former owner of Adams Motor Company, 60-year-old Robert (Bob) Gale Adams of Breda, is scheduled for trial next month on trespassing charges. According to District Court records, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office issued Adams two citations on Nov. 16, 2020 for allegedly trespassing at a rural Breda property in the 13000 block of Eagle Avenue; the first at approximately 4:36 p.m. and the second at 8:38 p.m. Adams has filed a not guilty plea to the charges levied against him, and his bench trial is slated for Thursday, April 22. Adams is currently on probation for a February 2020 conviction in Crawford County District Court for fraudulent sales practices, a class D felony. An investigation by the Iowa Department of Transportation found he had been keeping customers’ title transfer, warranty and other fees and selling used vehicles without paying off loans still owed on them. Prior to closing, Adams Motor Company operated dealerships in Denison, Ida Grove and Manning.
