Girls Track Results Monday, March 29th
Coon Rapids Bayard, East Sac, Glidden Ralston and IKM-Manning At Chelsey Henkenius Early Bird At South Central Calhoun
It was a windy but great night for track in Lake City at the annual Chelsey Henkenius Early Bird. They did not keep team scores but all five of our local schools had a good night with plenty of kids having success.
IKM-Manning was solid in the relays taking 1st place in the Distance Medley with Maddie Snyder, Amber Halbur, Alexa Ahrenholtz and Bianca Cadwell. The four girls finished in 4:55.79. The Wolves also took 2nd in the Sprint Medley in a time of 2:02.54. Snyder, Halbur, Ahrenholtz and Cadwell again teamed up in that race. East Sac finished 2nd in the Shuttle Hurdle in 1:19.77 with Kierstin Carroll, Hannah Pudenz, Kenna Meyer and Meredith Brown. South Central Calhoun had a 2nd place finish in the 4×200 with Olivia Toms, Taylor Greene, Erin Shinn and Laura Greene. They finished in a time of 2:03.35.
For the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats, Vanessa Koehler would place first in the high jump with a jump of 5’ 2”, and would place second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.86 and 200 meter dash with a time of 27.59. Alexia Nelson would win the 3000 meter run with a time of 12:37.74 and placed second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:46.29.
For the East Sac Raiders, Jen Aschinger would place second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:09.61. Meredith Brown would place second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:17.65.
For the South Central Calhoun Titans, Keira Hammen would finish in first place in discus with a throw of 93’ 2”.
