Greene County Sheriff’s Office Executes Search Warrant In Perry, Finds Improvised Explosive Device

Multiple agencies assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in execution of a search warrant at a Perry home that uncovered an improvised explosive device. The search was conducted at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at 1819 6th St. in Perry. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the Perry Police Department and the Iowa State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted. In addition to the explosive device, authorities recovered stolen property and seized drug paraphernalia as well as suspected controlled substances. Charges are pending lab results on those items. The name of the resident at that address has not yet been released.
