Local Processing Facility Supports Crawford County Deputy Reserve Program

A Denison processing facility recently made a donation in support of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Reserve program. General Manager of Quality Food Processors (QFP), Eric Kohler, presented a $500 check to Sheriff, Jim Steinkuehler. The 1.5-year-old program currently has three Reserve Deputies and the department is working to recruit even more. “I am trying to get the program to be self-efficient as to not implement any more tax burden against our citizens here in Crawford County,” Steinkuehler says. He also thanks Lt. Deputy Todd Perdew for all of his assistance with getting the program off the ground as well as the Crawford County Board of Supervisors for granting approval of an upcoming fundraiser. They will be holding a raffle drawing during the last days of the Crawford County Fair for a large gun safe. All proceeds raised will be used to support Reserve Deputies. An announcement on the launch date for ticket sales will be coming soon.
